The XLC chain tensioner is fitted in place of the rear derailleur to manage the chain length. The principle is to tension the chain, which maintains sufficient tension to prevent derailing. The main advantage of the XLC CR-A03 chain tensioner is that it allows lateral adjustment of the cage to maintain the best chain line.Compatible with 9, 10 and 11-speed chains.
