Shimano offers a set of road brake pads with long life and consistent braking power thanks to their cooling fins. Heat build-up is limited, which makes braking more effective on long descents. L05A-RF pads are compatible with Shimano 11- and 12-speed road and gravel disc brake calipers such as 105, Ultegra, Dura Ace and GRX.We recommend running in the pads before your first ride to ensure the best performance and longevity. To do this, spin the wheel without any load and stop it by braking gradually. Repeat this process about ten times. Running in also prevents the phenomenon of glazing of the organic material, which can occur during the first few heavy braking manoeuvres without running in.
