Instructions for use
- Remove the rear derailleur and screw the tool into the derailleur hanger
- Position the ruler towards the circumference of the rim. - Take measurements relative to the rim on several axes. - Gently twist the derailleur hanger through the arm of the tool until you achieve uniform alignment around the entire circumference of the rim.

The flat rule allows for establishing accurately and quickly: 1) the degree of misalignment; and 2) the result of efforts to adjust the dropout; which is not easily done with a tool without a rule. The arm is telescopic, making it easy to reposition the rule, and the rule holder can pivot to go beyond the hub and base without compromising measurements. This is not a cheap tool, but a lifetime performance investment. (Translated review)
