The rims have been completely redesigned to accommodate the growing use of wider tyres. This trend has made 25mm inner tube tyres the standard, and even the minimum size for training and road racing. As 25mm and 28mm tyres become more widespread, it has been necessary to redesign the wheel to optimise the interface with them.The new C17 rim ensures a more efficient tyre shape and improves safety and road holding in corners. It also reduces rolling resistance and increases aerodynamics. This seemingly minimal increase in width offers an incredibly different pedalling experience, which is sure to convince every cyclist that the change is a real improvement.
