The Sram Red and Force calipers from the AXS group have just switched to a new format (two parts), so specific pads are required. This is already the case on some MTB models as well. More power, progressiveness and endurance.

Brake pads wear out over time and with intensive use. They are a safety feature and it is essential to check their condition before setting off. The Sram Red and Force AXS caliper generation uses MTB technology with a two-part caliper (from July 2019 for the Red AXS). To maintain the power and endurance of your brakes, it is advisable to use pads from the same brand as your calipers.
