Our usage tips:

- Ideal for XC and sport touring use.
- We recommend this tyre for use on wet and rocky terrain; it offers excellent grip whilst maintaining good performance.
- Recommended for front wheel use. On the rear, you can pair it with a Hutchinson Toro 29x2.10 if the terrain is very wet and muddy. If conditions are slightly damp, you might consider fitting the Python 2 on the rear in 29x2.10.

Description:

The Hutchinson Tubetype Taipan 29-inch MTB tyre offers performance, lightness and grip. It provides excellent lateral mud clearance thanks to its V-shaped tread blocks and optimal grip thanks to the progressive volume of the side tread blocks.

Technologies

- Hardskin: bead-to-bead protection shields the sidewalls and tread; this reinforcement does not compromise the tyre’s flexibility or rolling efficiency.
- Race Ripost XC compound: composed of three compounds of varying hardness to maximise performance. A solid structural compound supports the casing for rapid acceleration and responsive handling. The tread blocks are harder for optimal power transfer, whilst the softer side blocks ensure better grip in corners.
- 66 TPI casing: offering the ultimate balance between protection and performance, the 66 TPI casing provides the grip and control needed on any trail.
- Tubetype: requires the use of an inner tube; not compatible with tubeless-ready fitting.
