CrankBrothers Candy 2 MTB pedals

The Candy 2 Crankbrothers are versatile clipless pedals designed for cyclists looking for an excellent balance between ease of engagement, stability and freedom of movement. Particularly suited to gravel, XC and trail riding, they feature the ‘ Crankbrothers ’ system with four entry points, which makes clipping in considerably easier, especially on technical sections or in challenging conditions.

Their 6061-T6 aluminium body offers a good balance between strength and lightness. Weighing just 355 grams per pair, the Candy 2 minimises the extra weight added to the bike whilst retaining a design robust enough to handle competitive rides and off-road riding.

The pedals’ open design promotes excellent clearance of mud and debris, a particularly welcome benefit on gravel or mountain bike rides when conditions become wet and muddy. The ribbed body also improves grip under the shoe when it is not clipped in.

The included Crankbrothers cleats allow you to customise the pedal’s behaviour with a release angle of 15° or 20° and offer 6° of angular freedom. This adjustability allows the Candy 2’s performance to be tailored to the cyclist’s preferences and riding level.

Reliability is another key strength of this model. The Candy 2 features an internal Igus LL-glide bearing, an external Enduro cartridge bearing and a double-seal system designed to protect the bearings from the elements. The SCM 435 forged chromoly steel axle and the stainless steel spring complete this robust construction.
