Met Drone Wide Body II triathlon time trial helmet

Designed in the Tube, a state-of-the-art wind tunnel built at Met’s headquarters in Italy, the second generation of the Drone Wide Body helmet aims to be more high-performance than ever. Used by Tadej Pogacar on the roads of the Tour de France and by the world’s top triathletes, this helmet has already shone in the biggest races. Its design offers a measured time saving of 13.5 seconds over 40 km compared to the previous generation, whilst remaining surprisingly well-ventilated and lightweight for a long-sleeve model.

This helmet maximises aerodynamic efficiency in a low position. It features a unique Wide Body Design with a widened outer shell that channels airflow over the shoulders, drastically reducing turbulence. The elongated linear tail allows the head to be lowered even further, whilst strategically positioned Low Drag Inlets minimise turbulence at the air intake. The result: an ultra-streamlined profile that excels on long straights in time trials or triathlons.

In terms of comfort and usability, Met has paid close attention to detail: the Safe-T Advanced system with 360° adjustment and 4 vertical positions for a perfect fit even in a prolonged aero position, contoured Air Lite straps, and comfortable padding. The Met Mag-Clip Shield visor attaches magnetically with a single click and is anti-fog. With just 4 air inlets cleverly managed by an internal channel, ventilation is good for a streamlined helmet, making every solo ride as bearable as possible.
