Short or expired best-before date: a discounted offer

This product is available with a short best-before date or, in some cases, a date that has passed, allowing you to benefit from a discounted price.

A ‘best before’ date should not be confused with a ‘use by’ date. Exceeding a ‘best before’ date does not automatically mean that the product poses a health risk. It primarily indicates that the manufacturer no longer necessarily guarantees the product’s optimal quality after that date.

Therefore, provided the product has been stored correctly, the packet is intact and the contents show no unusual changes in appearance, smell or taste, an expired ‘best before’ date does not, in itself, pose a health risk. However, the flavour and nutritional qualities may deteriorate over time.
