With its aluminium frame featuring a high-pivot geometry, the Slash 8 6th Gen XT combines a mullet setup with a 29-inch front wheel and a 27.5-inch rear wheel. This setup and geometry enhance grip and efficiency on climbs whilst delivering incredible performance on descents. High-speed stability, manoeuvrability and cornering grip are guaranteed with this enduro-tuned mountain bike. This geometry pairs perfectly with Fox Racing Shox suspension offering 170 mm of travel front and rear, enough to tackle the most challenging sections! In practice, this long-travel suspension creates a speed-hungry mountain bike, perfect for difficult trails and enduro races.

With its aluminium frame this model is reliable and high-performing! Trek has designed this mountain bike to be sturdy and able to withstand the rigours of enduro. To this end, there is protection on the down tube to shield the frame from impacts from stones and debris. The 34.9 mm diameter dropper seatpost is stronger, more durable and faster in its up-and-down movement. You’ll also notice the presence of a storage compartment integrated into the frame so you can carry your repair kit without the bulk of a pannier – a significant advantage!

Note thatit is possible to convert the Slash to a 29-inch front/rear configuration (wheel sold separately) for an even faster bike on fast sections. Furthermore, you can adjust the geometry, particularly the head angle, to achieve a more or less stable ride on descents and at high speeds thanks to the adjustable headset (+/- 1°) (sold separately).
