This Scott adaptor is an internal fastener used on Scott electric mountain bikes in the Patron eRIDE and Strike eRIDE Evo ranges. It is part of the battery retention system built into the frame.

It acts as a wedge and stop to ensure that the battery is correctly positioned in its housing. This limits movement and vibration and ensures a stable hold during use of the bike, particularly on uneven terrain.
