The Maxxis Assegai is the tyre designed for Enduro and DH, combining the best features of the Minion, High Roller II and DHF. Did you know it takes its name from the iron-tipped spear used by the Zulu people of South Africa, a fitting name for a tyre ready to battle on the mountain.
The Maxxis Assegai features tall knobs designed to provide traction in dust and loose soil. This design gives it remarkable versatility, offering support and confidence over roots and wet rocks. Its narrow side knobs ensure secure grip in all conditions. The Assegai is available here in the Wide Trail (WT) version, a casing optimised for rims with an internal width of 30 to 35 mm.
The Assegai features Tubeless Ready technology, a real bonus in terms of performance and grip, allowing you to ride at lower pressures. The 3C Maxx Terra compound optimises rolling resistance. Meanwhile, the Exo Protection technology integrated into the tyre’s sidewalls provides greater resistance to punctures on rough trails.
