Maxxis Severe MaxxSpeed Exo 29-inch MTB tyre with flexible TLR rims, tubeless ready

The new Maxxis Severe cross-country MTB tyre is ideal for mountain bikers who want to perform well in muddy and slippery conditions. This tyre was developed in collaboration with ten-time world champion Nino Schurter. It is now his tyre of choice when conditions are muddy and the terrain becomes difficult. These characteristics are made possible by a specially designed tread pattern. The tread features a central section with low, slightly angled knobs. These provide good performance while offering excellent traction in mud. The side knobs are spaced far enough apart to facilitate the removal of sticky soil when the terrain is wet.
The Severe's side lugs have the advantage of being arranged in two rows. The upper row features lower, closer-spaced lugs to optimise performance, while the side lugs are higher to promote grip when cornering.
To further improve performance in mud, the Maxxis Severe tyre is available in a 29x2.25" size to effectively cut through mud and facilitate its removal.
