Initially quite skeptical about the effectiveness of the product, I eventually understood that you really need to put a good amount on the shoe, not wipe it off, and let it dry in the open air for a good while. In this way, yes the product is effective and significantly improves the water repellency of the shoe (and its cleanliness in general). Note: this is not an aerosol, and Muc-Off indicates that it does not contain harmful chemicals.
