Our opinion: Another jacket that stands out from the competition thanks to its high-end design, which will protect cyclists from the most unpredictable winter weather conditions. Water-repellent, windproof and providing excellent thermal protection, this Carena jacket will perform well in all conditions from November to March. To say that it is a versatile jacket is an understatement. The 2021 Carena takes the best features of previous versions and improves on them. Nalini's ultimate winter jacket now offers sophisticated thermal protection and Manto DWR water-repellent technology for remarkable adaptability. A gust of wind and the entire structure of the Xwind fabric and brushed fleece blocks the wind and cool air to ensure excellent protection for the body. When it rains lightly, the Carena's water-repellent and waterproof properties come into play to keep the athlete dry. Even in mild weather, the jacket's overall breathability allows for optimal heat exchange and prevents the accumulation of unpleasant and counterproductive moisture. The three asymmetrical rear pockets are still present and are the trademark of the transalpine brand. These also feature 3D Drain mesh inserts to promote ventilation and wick away moisture internally in case of rain. The Nalini reflective elements on the front and pockets also contrast subtly with the chic and understated blue colour of this jacket.
