Our advice

Front brake lever and caliper set from the new Shimano GRX groupset, specially designed for gravel bikes, shown here in the RX810 version without transmission mechanism.

Denis M.

A former racer with a keen eye for equipment

The Shimano GRX RX810 lever features advanced ergonomics for improved comfort. The textured, non-slip surface treatment enhances control on technical terrain, making this lever perfectly suited to gravel and cyclo-cross riding.

With a flat-mount design and compact profile, the Shimano GRX BR-RX810 hydraulic disc brake calipers offer greater control on rough off-road rides. The GRX brake caliper features optimum heat dissipation with convenient access to adjustment and bleeding.

Wheel changing is also made easier with the Flat-Mount fixing system.

The Shimano GRX groupset stands out for its Gravel-specific components: Gravel ergonomics, optimised gearshift options, reliability and silent transmission.

Shimano insists that this is not a reworked version of its road components, but a groupset specially adapted to the constraints of Gravel and cyclo-cross riding.

After an easy assembly, especially thanks to the easy connection of the brake hose. This lever proves to be comfortable and effective.
