Notre avis
Reliable performance in 1x12 speeds!
A former racer with a keen eye for equipment
The Shimano SLX RD-M7100 SGS rear derailleur with long cage is designed exclusively for 12-speed single-chainring drivetrains. Its design allows for smooth gear changes with 10-45 and 10-51 cassettes.
Featuring the Shadow RD+ system, the derailleur ensures excellent chain tension for a quieter and more reliable drivetrain without chain skipping. Like the higher-end ranges, the SLX RD-M7100 derailleur has 13-tooth pulleys, allowing for better management of the gear ratio range on the 12-speed cassette.

Published Jul 31, 2022 at 10:58 amI bought it to replace a destroyed XT model during a mountain biking outing. Easy to install and adjust. With a new cable, it works as well as an XT model. (Translated review)

Published Sep 11, 2021 at 05:52 pmReliable derailleur and good value for money. Still a safe bet from Shimano just like its big brother the XT (Translated review)

Published Jan 20, 2021 at 02:48 pmGood derailleur that works and adjusts simply. It works perfectly. Be careful with the chain length, if you don't have the right length, you won't be able to shift to a 51 tooth gear (cassette 10-51). (Translated review)

Published Jan 18, 2021 at 08:31 amIt does its job as well as the XT for a few extra grams but cheaper. So why not take advantage! Indeed, the 12 speeds often shift 2 at a time. And the adjustment is more delicate than in 10 or 11. (Translated review)

Published Dec 25, 2019 at 12:48 pmI replaced my Sram GX with this SLX derailleur and the gears shift better and my transmission is smoother. (Translated review)
