Our advice

Braking is a safety feature on your bike, so it needs to be powerful and durable. The Shimano Dura-Ace RT900 disc brake has the same features as the MTB version for greater and faster heat dissipation.

Fred B.

Disc brakes are becoming the norm. In competition or intensive use, rapid heat dissipation is essential. The Shimano Dura-Ace RT900 disc is based on the technical characteristics of the XTR mountain bike version, which offers high-level performance. On the road, very high speeds can be reached. At the bottom of a hill, the disc must not overheat. The Ice Technologies Freeza brake disc technology allows heat to dissipate quickly to maintain braking performance on long descents. The high-temperature paint on the disc also improves heat dissipation. We recommend mounting 140mm at the front and rear for maximum weight savings and/or 160mm front/rear for optimal braking, or 160mm at the front and 140mm at the rear for a combination of lightness and efficiency.lt;span>
