Notre avis

Bruno V.

Road specialist

Managing the heating and cooling of the rim is an important factor in powerful, progressive braking. The DarkPads brake pad is made from 2 materials that reduce rim heat build-up and optimise power delivery.

Ice Zone Contact technology evacuates heat by channelling the air flow outwards, drying the rim in wet weather. As a result, the rim is operational more quickly and offers quality braking in all weather conditions. The composition of the pad leaves a clean rim, which increases braking efficiency.

The brake pad is fully compatible with Shimano, Sram and Campagnolo pad holders. It should also be noted that development and research are carried out in France. Whether you have a clincher or tubular version DarkPads is the solution for effective braking in all weathers!

Still equipped with rim brakes on Shimano Dura Ace calipers, I am on my second set of Darkpads. I won't change anymore. The braking is progressive and powerful. I wipe it with a damp microfiber cloth after each ride, as well as on the carbon rims. I recommend this product. (Translated review)

I have been using the swisstop darklabel brand for 4 years because it was recommended by my carbon rims. Very aggressive braking thanks to their grip, irregular because the pads heat up quickly, vibrations during braking and crazy noise despite the angle of inclination of the pads. I replaced them with these pads, darkpads, it's a revolution: no more noise, no need to angle so regular wear of the pad, no more vibration, more regular and constant braking. I was able to do the stage of the tour in complete serenity, which was not the case before with my old pads. (Translated review)
