The benefits of the oval chainring are now well established, whether on the road or on a mountain bike. This technology offers a significant increase in efficiency, as well as a reduction in lactic acid production. Pedalling is also smoother, and the top and bottom dead centres are passed through with ease.
Other benefits include a significant reduction in stress on the knee joints. Heart rate is also lower.
The Rotor QX2 in the outer position has a 96 mm bolt circle. It is only compatible with Shimano XTR 9020 four-arm MTB cranksets.
