Our advice

The Glider model is the ideal saddle for both sporting activities and leisure rides. It uses the structure of the Composite model with more comfortable padding. It is covered in genuine leather for the black versions and Lorica microfibre for the coloured versions.

It offers optimal all-round characteristics and is particularly suited to medium-sized pelvises. The Glider saddle is padded with elastomer at the contact points of the ischial tuberosities and gluteal muscles. Selle SMP’s patented features – namely the open central channel, the original eagle-beak shape of the front section and the raised rear section – give these models an interesting touch of aerodynamics.

Thanks to its comfortable padding, it is particularly suitable for people with a medium/wide pelvis and can be used by women.

Technical specifications:

- Cover: full-grain leather
- Padding: expanded elastomer
- Shell: carbon fibre-reinforced nylon 12
- Frame: AISI 304 stainless steel tubing
- Weight: 285 grams (+/-5%) (manufacturer’s specification)
- Dimensions: 266x136 mm

- 2 colours: black or white

- Brand: SMP

Very nice manufacturing with a leather coating in black which is rare. Suits me well as long as I find the right tilt (not easy), 2cm tilted forward as far as I'm concerned.

Nice saddle but difficult for me to adjust, I couldn't adapt to it while colleagues appreciate it...
